January 2010

Brethren -

We are about to begin a new Masonic year and we are saying goodbye to a decade filled with the turmoil of war and economic down turns. Amidst the turmoil of 2009 we as a Masonic family stuck together and came forth with many new members, new ideas and we gave strength to those in need. I also speak from or about many of my difficult personal experiences in the past year; my family and brothers gave me the strength to maintain a positive outlook, one filled with faith, hope and prosperity. I was once told by my Aunt, that if you have family, faith and $5.00, you will have more than you need to have prosperity and warmth in your heart. In the coming year and as we begin a new decade, we must stick to the values and morals which gave us the strength where we all decided to take that leap of curiosity to better ourselves and our community with that ever important phrase, "ask one to be one."

The goals for this upcoming year will follow that which makes us the strongest family, help those in need, learn from each other, watch out for each other and our families; and draw from the freedoms our founding fathers died for, and teach our generous principles to those who are not masons.

Lets continue to build on the friendships derived from attending and participating in our stated meeting dinners and the new pot-luck fun. Please feel free to invite potential candidates as it is vital for prospective members to truly understand and embrace what Masonry stands for. I want to continue our participation in such programs like "The SHARE Program"; which really appreciates all we can give. Lets keep the generosity and food cans coming!

Our lodge continues to grow with each passing year, we have many degrees to conduct and hopefully, you'll all be able to attend the degrees in the upcoming months.

My thanks to all of the Brothers that continue to support our Lodge. We truly are a "Friendly and Family Lodge"

Thanks in advance for all your efforts, strength, and values in the coming year.
